After a fun show the 2010 Pre-K class crossed over the "Bridge to Kindergarten" during their "Stepping Up" ceremony. It was a very good year! Although, it saddened me to see "my babies" leave, I was very proud of all they accomplished this year.
Now on to September --
Welcome to St.Andrew Avellino Pre-K and thank you for choosing our school. In order to help you plan ahead, I would like to give you our schedule for the first week of school:
Tuesday, September 7 : 7:00 PM --
Parent Meeting in the School
Cafeteria-- Enter doors of "new building" on 158th street side of the school. Please bring the supplies listed below with you. Please bring any outstanding medicals or tuition payments.
After a presentation on Pre-K curriculum, daily schedule, etc., there will be ample time to answer all questions and address any concerns. We will also visit the classroom. Children DO NOT attend this meeting.
Wednesday, September 8: No school for Pre-K
Thursday, September 9: First day of school for Pre-K (8:15 - 11:30 AM)
- There is no lunch today.
- Please bring your child directly to the Pre-K classroom, using the courtyard doors.
- Children will be dismissed from these courtyard doors.
Friday, September 10: Same schedule as 9/9 - 8:15 - 11:30 AM
Monday, September 13: First Full day of school 8:15 - 2:25
- Please don't forget to send lunch
Tuesday, September 14 until June:
Schedule is the same as Monday, 9/13
Beginning Pre-K can be a bit frightful, not just for the child, but also for the parents. It is not easy to "let go." Hopefully, our meeting in September will alleviate some of your concerns.
